Community Meetings
In December 2016, community planning for the redevelopment of the Highland and Marcella Street parcels was restarted. The current planning is building on a series of community meetings held between January and August of 2012 including a Community Symposium and a Community Charrette. During these meetings and subsequent community workshops, DND and BPDA gathered ideas, guidance and feedback from the broader community. Each meeting included presentations by DND and BPDA staff followed by breakout groups and group discussions. The recommendations and thoughts from each group were documented and analyzed to inform the direction of the planning process and culminated in the crafting of a Community Vision and preliminary E+ Community Development Guidelines illustrated in the presentation.
Community planning for these sites will continue in January 2017. A community workshop is scheduled for January 26, 2017 at the Shelburne Community Center in Roxbury. Learn more >
